The animating spirit that led to the establishment of the Polisportiva, officially born way back in 1974, inherent in a group of only 3 people, was the desire to no longer spend Sundays in front of the television watching sporting events, but to start practicing sporting activities, getting involved personally, and then to organize those events, which were called "non-competitive walks".
The people participating in the events increased more and more; Hence the decision to set up a specific "group" for the Varese area.
In this context, the first and main animators of the movement decided that the time had come to make the "group" that was forming official, organizing it into an Association and calling it Polisportiva Varedo.
