THE FOLLOWING TEXT (“THIS POLICY”) PROVIDES INFORMATION RELATING TO THE MAIN PARAMETERS WHICH TMU APPLIES FOR THE PURPOSES OF RANKING AND GIVING PROMINENCE TO MERCHANTS ON THE ONLINE PLATFORM PROVIDED BY TMU ON THE WEBSITE TRUSTMEUP.COM (“THE PLATFORM”).

This Policy shall be without prejudice to such other terms and conditions and TrustMeUp rules and policies that may be applicable to you as a user of the Platform.

In this Policy, all references to “TMU”, “the Company”, "our", "us", "we" and any similar expression shall refer to TMU Ireland Ltd, a company incorporated under the Laws of the Republic of Ireland and having company number 701630.

1.  Scope

a) The scope of this Policy is for TMU to describe the main parameters which TMU applies from time to time for the purposes of ranking Merchants on the Platform, and the reasons for the relative importance of those main parameters as opposed to other parameters.

b) Ranking refers to the relative prominence of Merchants or relevance given to search results as presented and organized by the Platform.

c) As such, the purpose of this Policy is to allow Merchants and other users of the Platform to better understand the functioning of the ranking mechanism implemented by TMU from time to time in respect of Merchants.

d) This Policy is not intended to exhaustively set out and describe all parameters that TMU applies for the purposes of ranking Merchants. This Policy is, on the other hand, meant to identify a limited set of parameters that are most relevant out of a possibly much larger number of parameters that TMU may implement from time to time for the purposes of affecting ranking. TMU can also freely choose the ranking position of the merchants inside the shopping arcade.

2. Main parameters determining ranking of merchants

a) Merchants and content relating to such Merchants are displayed on the Platform based on the following main ranking factors:
- Country – if a prospective buyer searches for Merchants located in a specific country, only Merchants situated in the selected country or countries will be displayed;
- Business sector search relevance Merchants will be displayed on the Platform depending on the sector searched by a prospective buyer;
- PACs – the ranking and prominence of Merchants on the Platform will depend on the extent to which a prospective buyer may apply PACs to obtain a discount on a portion of the prices of the relevant products or services offered by Merchants, such that the ability to use PACs to obtain a higher discount will rank and display the relevant Merchant more prominently;
- Chronology – Merchants featuring on any prospective buyer search will be displayed in the resulting search results by order of the date on which a Merchant registers on the Platform, starting from the most recently registered Merchants.

b) The relative importance of the main parameters outlined above, when compared to other factors that may be applied by TMU from time to time for ranking/prominence purposes, lies in the fact that these parameters reflect our perception of customer priorities when browsing the Platform for Merchants, namely:
- geographical preferences;
- the business sector required by a purchaser;
- the acceptance of use of PACs by Merchants; and
- more recently registered Merchants.

c) As at the date of this Policy, TMU has not devised any policy and parameters relating to the possibility for Merchants to influence their ranking on the Platform against any fee or other remuneration being paid by Merchants to TMU for such purposes. TMU will entertain discussions and negotiations with Merchants that may be interested in obtaining such influenced ranking, whereupon TMU shall update this Policy to describe such possibilities and the effects of any such remuneration on ranking.

d) Where this Policy is prepared in various languages other than the English language, any non-English language version of this Policy shall be for reference only. In the event of there being any differences between the English language version of this Policy and any other language version, the version in the English language shall prevail.
