ANCoS A.P.S. mainly carries out cultural, social, sporting and charitable activities. For this purpose it is divided into provincial committees. On these basis, the Association has an operational program that includes initiatives both at a national and territorial level, disseminated widely in the local area, so that all the provincial committees can collaborate in the initiatives promoted and implement, in relation to the needs and characteristics of the contexts of belonging, those of its own relevance.

All the initiatives organized and managed by the Association in every sphere of action aim, on the one hand, to make the best use of free time and to raise the quality of life of individuals and, on the other hand, to promote socialization, in particular of those who live alone, to concretely help those who find themselves in difficult life situations, of any kind.

Volunteering, in relation to all these aspects, plays a decisive role and is therefore the intention of ANCoS A.P.S. to continue investing the energies (human and material) also in this reality, providing, among other things, to ensure adequate formation for those who are willing to make a concrete contribution. The activity of the affiliated groups, which have a cultural, recreational, sporting and social character, aims in fact to favor the socialization of the members, with particular attention to the elderly and the most vulnerable categories, without however forgetting the young people and their current and future needs, especially in the field of free time, solidarity and culture.

The Association pursues its goals through activities of study, research, debate and constructive integration around the problems of society in all sectors in which it is articulated and operates in the field of fundamental social services, promoting the solidarity and social values ​​of voluntary work in compliance with current national and regional legislation.

All the initiatives and programs that the Association proposes to carry out aim to make possible moments of integration as well as personal and community growth, in addition to the comparison, training and learning of the principles that underlie active citizenship, in every its facet.

The ordinary activity that has been gradually implemented since 2002, allowing an ever greater coordination between the national headquarters and the peripheral offices, concerns the following areas:

• Consultancy and management of relations with the provincial committees
• Membership and affiliation management
• Organization of events and campaigns
• Assistance in the search for funding sources and in the drafting of projects and grant applications
• Coordination and secretarial services
• Promotion, drafting, presentation, implementation, coordination and reporting of projects and initiatives in the social, cultural, sports and recreational, health and charity fields at national and international level
• Management of relations with public and private entities (national and international)
• Participation in coordination and meetings on the topics of greatest interest to members (FITUS, OITS, FIAPAM, Confartigianato People)
• Press and communication service (Periodical with a circulation of 3500 copies, monthly newsletter, publication and distribution of circulars and press releases)
• Management and updating of the website
• Organization and periodic management of training courses - face to face and remotely with the aid of an ad hoc platform - aimed at local operators, volunteers and association managers (basic and advanced courses, social and participatory planning, reporting, etc...)
• Signing and management of agreements in favor of members (insurance, commercial, tourism ...)
