ABOUT
Fondazione Felicita Morandi Onlus has been committed since 2005 in the Varese area to support women victims of violence and minors involved in situations of abuse. The Foundation was created to combat the phenomena of violence against women, but also to define and govern a path that guarantees continuity of care and timeliness in taking charge also thanks to the implementation of specific projects, as the Dea - Women Empowerment Hospitality project aims to be.

WHAT DO WE DO?
DEA project Women Empowerment Reception A job and a home for women victims of violence HOW IT WAS BORN In 2022 we welcomed about 40 women, and most of them are struggling to get back on track after the violence. Our surveys have shown that the path to autonomy of women victims of violence, often with dependent minor children, following the emergency interventions provided by anti-violence centers and shelter homes requires paths of active inclusion, since only 2% of women victims of violence finds a stable job. It is only thanks to a job that women can start living again and redesign their future. Without a job, there is no independence.

OBJECTIVE
The DEA project wants to develop a model of accompaniment to autonomy, with the more ambitious goal of structuring intervention practices that can be adopted on a national scale. For each woman, a personalized accompaniment path will be identified which favors the insertion of the woman into the world of work and supports her in finding accommodation, also providing economic support, if necessary. The goal of the course is to make every woman aware and protagonist of her own path of emancipation.

DATA
The DEA project was approved by the Cariplo Foundation, as part of the 2021 emblematic territorial projects, and will be financed with a 50% contribution equal to 80,000 euros. The project will have a total duration of 24 months and aims to take care of around 30 women. Valuable collaboration with OpenJobMetis ready to support and convey opportunities, interlocutions and recruitments.

WHY SUPPORT
Thanks to your donations, we will collect useful resources to finance specialist orientation courses and accompaniment for job integration/reintegration, as well as training courses for professional updating and retraining.
